Dear Mary

I have just returned from India about an hour ago, but decide to write to you without delay - although I can only mail the letter on the 8th when I'm back at work! It has been an absolutely unforgettable experience! Sarah and I had the time of our lives! It wasexactly what we had in mind and we can only commend your staff on the great work that they are doing! I arrived before Sarah and Abihlash and Jojo collected me from the airport. They were so friendly and helpful from the word go. They were always concerned for our safety and made sure that we were comfortable and happy all the time. They are both remarkable men and we were incredibly pleased with their conduct at all times.

Cochin was interesting and we enjoyed the sightseeing. We were taken to some lovely places where we could shop until we dropped! We also enjoyed the restaurants where we had our meals. We were, however, delighted to leave the city for the countryside - and what an experience! Abhilash proved to be an excellent driver and we felt entirely safe all the way to Maria Heritage. Mrs. Rema and her team were there to welcome us in true style! We were terribly impressed with Maria from the beginning. Not only was the view (on both sides) to die for, but the house itself was stunning! We both fell in love with the beautiful decor and were truly inspired by the combination of colour and light! We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and it never stopped for a minute. Jimmy and Raju were amazing in the kitchen and another cup of tea was never too much trouble! The food was absolutely excellent and Mrs. Rema was very happy to patiently explain to us what we were eating and how it was made.

She also asked us what we preferred and what we would like to have. She is an exceptional woman and made sure that we had a great time always. Mrs. Rema happily organised our trips and massages and made useful suggestions and also gave good advice regarding these. We found her very approachable, patient and extremely kind. She was always there whenever we needed her and showed a genuine interest in us. We loved all the boat rides and found the people in Kerala to be so friendly. We got waves and smiles wherever we went. We both want to congratulate the staff of Maria on their outstanding work. Staying in such a lovely environment helped us relax totally and that's what we both needed! We will definitely be spreading the word to anybody who is prepared to listen! Thank you to you, Mary for organizing this trip at such short notice. I appreciate all the time and effort that went into getting everything ready and suggesting exactly what we were looking for! We both hope to be returning in the near future!
